Inch Subs

I have a question. You notice most subwoofers are in precise inches, like 8, 10, 12, 15, and not like 12.5 11.5, 15.8, with the exception of the new 13.5 W7. So here is my question, most subs are in full inches, so why dont they do that with midbass drivers, instead there like 6 1/2, 6 3/4, 5 1/4 5 1/2 and so on.... Why is this?? ask the car manufac...........they are the ones that set the stage.................subs where not really a base addition to building a car........................although I think some cars now come with subwoffers too.
