Everybody here has almost put somthing into their car what have they done with the old stuff you took out like have you sold it left it sit outside and rot burned it shot it anything i want to heard of the normal things ppl do with their old stuff and also the weird and stupid things too.

My stock deck is currently in a cabinet in the garrage.. If/when I get ready to sell the truck, I'll be putting that back in //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I, myself, can't afford to swap out equipment all the time, and if/when I upgrade something I'll be trying to sell the old stuff (unless it's broke or something).. Just can't see throwing away money like that.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/nono.gif.eca61d170185779e0921b0faa9704973.gif

I had an old Alpine deck, a 2000 model, 7 856 I believe, was trying to sell it but didn't really try that hard, wasn't anxious to get rid of it and didn't need the money, so it sat around. Then one day I blew the balls off of my new deck, Alpine 7897, which cost me close to $600, then that old deck came in handy;)

tried to sell my old subs, but no one wanted them. into the wall they went //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

stock speakers are worthless. into the wall they went (wired in series of course) //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I had a radioshack 12 that I could NOT BLOW

and i tried **** hard...

So a friend and I took a few baseball bats and played a game of stick ball with it

it went over the fence and landed in the parking lot of a mcdonalds

and the magenet pieces shattered and went on all the cars

that was pretty cool

Here's a fun thing to do with your old subs: get a standard a/c extension cord, cut the end off to expose the wires, and run it to the + and - inputs on the sub. Make sure the wires are covered up (not touching and secure). Go to your garage (or someplace with a concrete floor - NO CARPET). Place the sub on the ground, and plug the cord into a wall outlet that is on a switch (VERY IMPORTANT). Make sure the switch is off before doing this, because you could possibly be electrocuted if something goes wrong. Stand back a bit and throw the switch. If your sub is a piece of crap, it will go "pop" right away. A tougher sub will bounce around for a bit. A really tough sub (like a Kicker L7, JL Audio W7, ID IDMAX, etc) might even bounce around for 10-15 minutes before the voice coils burn up. This is pretty much garuanteed to destroy any sub in the world. And if it doesn't destroy it, you might want to hold on to it, because it's the toughest **** sub ever built //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

Have fun!

Have fun!
the W7 should hold up.

also, do like i did and wire them in series, they last much longer //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Well, I'm not sure anybody has actually done that to a W7, just because they're so expensive. But series is a decent idea //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.
