Exact-a-mundo. Some people can't take a hint, man.

Edit ... Or this:

Gawd you are so stupid. You're assumption lead you to believe something else. When did I say or imply you guys should like it...i straight out say i dont care if people don't. Can you read or are you dyslexic.
I dont even know how else to explain my point. You refusing to admit you attempt to coerce us into liking your car by way of personal attacks on people who dont, makes it impossible to have a reasonable discussion with you on the subject. Again, you like thinking you are secure talking about this topic, and your car mods in general, but your over all attitude shows you clearly aren't. Someone this self-delusional is a brick wall to talk to.

Look lil feller ... I understand it takes a lot of work to make wheels slanted like that; That doesn't mean it looks good. I understand it's more work to "seat" tires (air blast 'em on I guess) that are too narrow for these wide rims; That doesn't mean it looks good. I understand "VIP" people like curtains; That doesn't mean it looks good. That's all I'm saying; None of the details and reasons for any of this so-called VIP stuff mean it looks good. It doesn't; It looks goofy.
Now thats just assuming about the curtins. Not all VIP people like curtins.

I did not realize that.

Could we compile a list of all universally "VIP" characteristics/ mods? I'll start it:

1. Slanted (cambered) wheels

2. Wheels so wide they hit the fenders unless severly cambered

3. Stretched tires

4. Suspension lowered so far the car commonly scrapes the ground

Could we compile a list of all universally "VIP" characteristics/ mods? I'll start it:

1. Slanted (cambered) wheels You need at least a little for clearance but generally its preference. The goal is stance and fitment. Doesn't require insane amounts of camber

2. Wheels so wide they hit the fenders unless severly camberedWide is a necessity, yes. But the aggressiveness once again is a matter of taste. Take a look at my car.

3. Stretched tires Yes, but only a minimal amount is needed for clearance. Once you go more aggressive, the need for ultra stretched tires becomes obvious.

4. Suspension lowered so far the car commonly scrapes the ground. ALL of these cars are either on air or cups to adjust the height. Slammed while parked, drivable while not. I am lowered on coilovers, but I'm not that low so driving around is cake
Read my explanation a few posts back on vip carefully. The only REAL requirements are the right platform, fitment/stance and quality parts.

EVERYTHING else is a matter of opinion/preference. The car is supposed to be a reflection of the owner. Just like most people don't want to blend in a crowd, people don't want a car that everyone else has. Vip cars are about creatively making something completely your own.

I will reiterate my previous post once again. ANY average person can buy a luxury sedan, throw some wheels on it/lower/etc. and call it "customized"

It takes creativity and art to create something completely new. Its not just the wheels, suspension, interiors. Its the entire package that flows together. To set themselves apart, a vip build usually has:

  • Rare/Limited run wheels
  • Body work, including retrofits (usually similar dimensions, but from different cars to create something new)
  • Custom interiors
  • Engine swaps/Forced induction (This isn't done much in Japan because they already have good stuff)
  • Immaculate paint
  • DETAILS that bring it together (whether it be chroming OR de-chroming, passenger amenities, hood ornaments, personalization, etc)

So what is the underlining theme?

No one who is in to cars wants to roll up at a stop sign and see a car that looks exactly or VERY similar next to them.

None of those are inherent VIP traits that are not found in other aspects of cultures.

'Drift' cars feature all of those, as well as 'Euro' cars.

Stop poasting.

it was nice taking a crap on many of you, showing the public how dumb and how illiterate many of you are.

Yeah crooked wheels 4 life! PC

Drift cars dont feature ANY of those... Why would a drift car need camber? The whole point of drifting is losing traction, the whole point of camber is to increase the tires contact patch while conrnering by pro-actively predicting the tires variation from its normal axis during a corner and counteracting that by cambering in the opposite direction of that roll...

Why would a drift car stretch a tire? That is just plain stupid as hell... Stretched tires are for increasing a tires performance by simulating a stiffer tire wall. Drift cars, again, drive sideways, and a stretched tire in a drift situation is asking for sidewall failure...

As for the lowering and wide tires, anyone with a clue would know and understand the trade offs with these on a drift car... Drift cars use wide tires, but not overly wide, for the obvious reasons. And they may be lowered, but not enough to make the suspension useless...

There are some retarded lines of logic ITT...
