i need to know what type of amp would be better for running 3 jl 10w0's

theyre run parralell so the are at 2 ohms bridged

i found a couple amps that sound perfect

one is a class d 300 rms @ 2 ohms

and one is a class a/b 300 rms @ 2 ohms

which ones better? and why?

one is a mtx thunder 300xd class d

and the other one is a kicker zx300.1 class a/b

i looked ub specs and thats what they told me ... but reguardless of that im still gunna run 300 rms i just need to know if a class d or a/b would work better for my subs?

youre a idiot. its best to buy a little more power so you can turn the gains down a tad instead of running your amp hard all the time. buy the **** 500rms amp and a class D would be smart since its more efficent then the a/b's and made for running subs. either you came here for help or you dont want to listen? if you dont want to listen then shut up and keep buying that crappy *** jlw0 shit. who in their right minds would buy such a low class sub? you just wanted the JL name but couldnt afford the w7 huh?

Doesn't matter. A/B amps usually draw a little more current, but we're talking about very little power in your case.

You should seriously consider running more power. It isn't going to hurt anything as long as the amp is set up correctly. Besides, you don't have to match your amp and subs perfectly. Almost everyone will tell you that a little extra power is a good thing...

thank you for youre advice .. i was just going off of the fact that it used to have a 250w hifonics and i put a 650w lanzar and the 250 sounded alot better and hit just as hard if not harder. i just want descently loud but clear sounding subs... the amp i got is a piece of shit and no matter how i tune it it just doesnt match how i want it to sound. i will consider more power and prbly go class d cuz my alternator is already takin a shit and you said class d draws less power.

650w MAX i bet? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

And plus you need to learn some math. 150w RMS per sub. You have 3. 3x150=450. Get a 500w amp that actually does 500 and you'll be golden.
