Let's just say Parrot has a good outlook on things. The Type R's would ultimately cost me more than twice the price of my alternatives. As for the box, it would be easier and more cost effective to go with a pre-loaded enclosure. That being said, I have already drawn up a sealed box to fit my needs perfectly, should I decide to go that route. What this has all boiled down to, is power. This isn't my debate, but for the sake of understanding what I'm dealing with performance wise, would a CVR 15 in a sealed enclosure be louder/cleaner than a pair of Comp 12's? The goal is to have the loudest cleanest system build by their products, without taking up more than two cubic feet of space, and without exceeding 500 watts rms. If there's a significant enough difference to warrant it, the alternative is the same criteria with no more than 800 watts RMS. So here are the options I have in mind at the moment
1 CVR 15 on an Alpine M500 (500 RMS)
2 CVR 10's on either a zx750.1 or Kenwood 9105
1 CVX 12 on either zx750.1 or 9105
1 Solo Classic 15 on the above mentioned amps
1 Type R 12 on the Alpine M500
