i was thinking of putting in some 10in kicker slims and running 400w to em, or would it be better to use the sundown or mb quart 8's with 400w to em. this will be for an under the seat install. that's why these choices. i've never heard a slim sub at all, so i'm not really sure which would be a better all around sound.

i'm not exactly sure. i'm just throwing the idea around in my head still. it'll be going under the backseat in an avalanche. most boxes i see tend to be around 5.7in. not sure if i wanna go ported or sealed yet, i'm thinking sealed right now. i'm likeing the sundown's more i look at em, altho never had or heard them before. i've noticed that there's only a couple big boys when it comes to 8's tho. and from what everybody says DD's would be alot more. by useing like a sa-8, could i use 1/2 mdf or stay with the 3/4 because of the power will still be up there?

noway no comp system. its the g/f's truck she listen's to everything from oldies to metal to country to a little hip hop. so for her i was thinking slim 10's but it seems like just a set of 8's would be better. you can fit them in a tiny box under the seat and still pound em pretty well.
