In-line fuse blown. Amp not working.

Check your grounds bro.Mossberg had this problem a couple weeks ago. Amp was going in and out, mostly out, and his fuse blew up under the hood. Amp was drawing extra current from the ground being loose. also you can use a short wire to go from 12+ to rem for testing.

My grounds are solid. Amp not going in and out at any point. Just out suddenly when fuse blew. I tried a remote wire from before and after the fuse box. The amp still does not power on. This is driving me up the wall.

Im confused, that's a standard AGU fuse/holder, available commonly.

Wasn't available where I was shopping. Maybe in your area. The way it looks you might think its a cylindrical fuse, its a flat fuse with prongs on both sides to screw in. Either way i'm doubting the new fuse block is my issue.

try jumping the remote turn on from the +12v to the remote turn on see if it turns on

Run the remote wire from the 12v port on amp to the remote port on amp?

take a small piece of wire from the remote lead socket on the amplifer and touch it to the +12v if the amp turns on you can narrow your problem down to headunit or remote wire.

im going to hook up my other amp using the current connections and see what happens quick.

take the negative terminal off your battery while doing so

That said. I'm not buying another eclipse amp. Any recommendations on a 450x1 RMS amp? Preferably cheap.

Sub is DVC so 4ohm + 4ohm = 450 rms at 2 ohm load I believe. So mad lol....Got this amp couple weeks ago...Eclipse was supposed to be solid stuff. Guess not.

Yes, that will create a 2ohm load in paralell and 8ohm load in series. Whats budget? And Eclipse typically are good products. I dont know about the newest stuff tho

Yes, that will create a 2ohm load in paralell and 8ohm load in series. Whats budget? And Eclipse typically are good products. I dont know about the newest stuff tho

The old amp was Eclipse xa1200(130 bucks). I'm just looking to spend like 100 bucks total for another amp. Dumped enough money into this system already....

The inline fuse blew but the Amps own 2 fuses did not blow. Is what I meant.
