In college not working?

Worked full time through college, summers I worked two jobs. I now have all my schooling paid off since I graduated in December, currently am working one Full time job, and a part time job = ~37,000/yr. Since I started "working" at 16 I've had at least one full time job, and at most two full time jobs and one part time job. (full time = 40hrs for me, part time = 20-30 hrs.) Thats fine w/ me, I pay for all my toys by my lonesome, and have stellar credit.

I really respect that. I did not work FT in HS, only PT. I am really working on paying my school off and will be done before the end of the year. Then I may look for new work.

Werd. 17 units plus 20+ hours a week leaves little social life. Luckily(or not so luckily) I live right where the parties are.

But yea, college student+income=nice things.

Good decision.

I think the point my prof was making was that if you're truly dedicated to doing your best in university and in developing your mind to its utmost, you need to focus on that and only that.

Additionally, the social aspects of school that you miss out on because you're working every other waking hour are irreplaceable. Work during the summer, and focus on school when you can.

Im a full time student that works 40 hours a week doing factory work and I still have time to go to parties just about every night. Right now its not hard to balance everything since I stopped wasting time on the internet and watching tv for hours upon hours.

it depends if you need the money or not. if you don't need the money then it wouldn't hurt to quit but if you think you can handle working and going to school at the same time, then again why not do it.
for me, during school i didn't work. to pay for stuff i worked during the summer and just used that money along with help from the parents to pay for stuff.

My plan as well...didnt do that great saving due to caraudio lol...will only have 1500 when I start...
