Us having to press 1 for english is a sign of how wrong this whole thing is. Mexicans are immigrating here illegally in such huge numbers that they are able to create their own society complete with its own language. These people are not people wishing to merge into our society, they are wanting to change ours, or replace it with their own. They come here without our permission, and offer only to adapt to our society so far as it benefits them. The do-gooders then say its society's responsibility to adapt to what the Mexican's chose not to (such as using our language). You aren't going to convince me that's right morally, ethically, financially or socially.

Number one not all Mexicans here are here illegally and they still speak Spanish. And nobody ever said we don't try to adapt to the culture of the US. Lots of Mexicans learn English as their second language. And number two big woop that theres another option to choose Spanish over English. Theres a ton of Spanish speakers in this country that aren't illegal, its just become a popular language throughout our society. And sure illegal immigrants add on to that quota of Spanish speakers, but Spanish still exists here nonetheless.

And btw to touch on what you said about having to pay more taxes to cover all the illegals who arent paying taxes, trust me, your spending alot more on the stupid outrageous costs that the government calls "defense" than youll ever pay on helping to cover illegals.

Why do we need to trust in you about that? What the fuck are you trying to say about that? Lets start by clarifing that #1, if americans have to split the bill for a mexican national, then that is an unneccesary exspense. Havent you every heard of travelers insurence? We have to pack it, so why the fuck dont they? #2, since when is our nations deffense porgrams and exspenses comparable to that of a mexican nationals inablity to suport them selves? #3, If the people of mexico wanted freedom so badly, why dont the fight for it on there own soil and create ther own civil war. Things weren't always peachy over here...

As for the bilingual voice options, I have to say that I find it very unnerving that people have given in to making that an option everywhere. Because of these reasons only, #1people all over the country speak many different languages, but yet the main ones whom choose to blow off learning English are Mexican nationals. I have meet people from Spain, Germany, Italy, Korean, China, Japan, ect, and every single one knows enough English and is articulate enough to walk into a room and have a conversation with you. But here we have Mexican nationals whom can’t even speak an unrehearsed sentence...

We spend so much more in tax money on defense than we ever would on covering illegal immigrants here. Im saying you should be more worried about where all that money is going in defense because its significantly larger. And we have a crapload of defensive technology as it is, I think we're pretty good as we are on the defense aspect of our country. Theres alot more right now that could use that excess money that defense is holding. Overcome the socialization of functionalism and realize the truth that conflict theory beholds.

Let me expound on the issues since some can't seem to make past the obvious.

The principle behind have muti- lingual option when we call signifies that there is a growing number of people whom show disregard toward America and its national language. Even more so in areas that target and expect the vast majority, if not all the majority of its clients and customers is Spanish speaking. This matter alone is racist if you really want to break it down. Why not have the courtesy to offer this offer to the Chinese community or anyone else with a bilingual background?

I did not say all Mexicans here are illegal. I did not say all Mexicans here refuse to speak English. Maybe the fact that you have to try and exaggerate what I am saying should tell you that your argument is weak.
Yes, many illegal immigrants are trying to change our culture into theirs. Refusing to learn this country's national language is them refusing a fundamental form of adapting to this culture. That is undeniable. You didnt even deny it, you simply tried to sidestep the issue with your lame "not all Mexicans refuse to learn the language" and "its just become popular". Its only become popular because so many hispanics have immigrated here who do not learn English. Its not just become the cool thing, the popular thing.

Many Americans know Spanish as a second language. I had 5 years of it in school, what's your point? My point is many Mexicans living in this country DONT know it. You trying to mention that many do know it is irrelevant, obviously enough dont know it to cause such a shift in our society. I couldnt care less how many people in Mexico know English as a second language, if you move here, expect to learn English. To not learn it is to decide our society will conform to them.

Lastly, your point on taxes. We covered this earlier in this thread, my reply will be the same as then. Your answer to our govt over spending is to NOT fix this unfair expenditure (paying the way for illegals) because we have other, possibly bigger expenditures? How about we fix ALL the problems? You simply dont want to start here because you are obviously personally biased.

Pushing a button on a phone isn't the point, the fact that a minority is being allowed to alter our society in a fundamental way such as changing our language IS the point. You expect people to come here and just automatically know how to speak English? Do you think it's just people that come here illegally that don't know english as soon as they get here? It's exactly the same when Americans go to other countries. Spanish is one of the most spoken languages in the world. So it makes sense that businesses have an option for spanish speakers just like other countries have options for English speakers because the language is very popular world wide.

That and the fact that this whole thing is basically another form of corporate welfare anyway. The big agra businesses get the benefit of cheap labor and the taxpayer still gets shafted with the social cost associated with these people. SO when you consider the free schooling, healthcare, welfare, insurance fraud, etc. etc. how much does your cheap lettuce really cost?

At the end of the day this is essentially a slave class anyway which historically only serves to undermine the middle class and enrich the elite at everyone elses expense. People historically knew this, hence the backlash and negative public sentiment against every large migrant group ever, from the Irish, to Chinese, to Italians, etc..

How about instead of MORE and BIGGER government to "fix" everything we reduce the oppressive taxation, regulation, insurance, and other oppressive costs of living and doing business and then employers will actually be able to pay a citizen a living wage for their work, and citizens will be able to live off of their wages.

You've lost scope of the discussion. If you want to talk about the melting pot, this country has accepted immigrants for 200 years and always remained a single-language country. But now a bunch of illegal immigrants floods across the border and we're suppose to accept a dual-language country?
How about walk into a fast food restaurant in California and have to ask for an English speaking employee to take your order. Yes, its happened to me. Was it this huge inconvenience? No, that's not the point. I wouldn't even have a problem with our shifting social structures if it wasn't brought about by an illegal flood of immigrants coming here with so little concern for adjusting to our culture. This is an English speaking country, and it is not too much to ask that immigrants learn it when they come here. Even President Obama has said the same thing.
