I'm really stuck on this one

Ok, well sorry to have another "which one should I get topic" but I cannot make up my mind on which component speakers to get. I've been looking at the RE RE components (165 shipped) or Focal 165A(300, maybe lower from local dealer). I've heard the focals and they do sound really nice, with an amp of course, but here is the problem. I really don't want to spend 300 dollars just for speakers. Granted, they sound amazing but not 300 dollars worth.

So, do you think the RE RE's would not only save me money but also be a nice match for the focals? I've read reviews on both speakers, but have only heard the focals. So please any feedback would be great.
