I'm putting together a complete system.

What's the difference?
The bass knob will be connected to the amp, and it just boosts 40hz or whatever frequency the bass boost is set at.

I use a level controller for my tweets. Used to use it for my sub amp. It's basically a passive component that can only lower your RCA voltage. It only cuts, not boosts. Set your gains with it maxed out. Then, you can turn the sub channels down when you want to.

This is what mine looks like:

Now I'm dealing with another issue. Looks like I may be stuck with only exchanging this amp, and not getting a refund. Since it came with a "free" 8g amp kit, they deducted the price of the amp kit from the price of the amp, so the refund is only set to be $140. I have to call them back when they open to figure this out.

If the wires are already cut and crimped, you can't return the kit. Sounds like your stuck paying for the kit if you already used it. If you haven't used it, you may be able to return the kit too for a full refund.

Some people said they were okay, don't have experience myself, probably wouldn't buy one. I think that cerwin-vega I posted would be the way to go from sonic.
Says there's only 1 left. I'll buy it if it's available when I get a refund. But if it's not, anything else with that output?
