Im Back And With Another Problem....

So Im at my cousins right now

we tryed switching the amps wit a vizonic

and it still didn't power the subs

so we were thinking its maybe my alternator??

a quick respond would be appreciated

No it's not the alternator. Sounds like you don't have it turned on on the hu or the RCAs aren't connected right. Does your hu have a "subwoofer on/off" function or similar?

hmm, my guess it's your rca cables, not gettin the signal to the amp from the hu.

there is no way the alt. is doing this, it's eather the HU rca output is off, the rca cables have fallen off behind the HU. OR, as said before, check the wires in the box going from the termenal (sp?) to the back of the speaker. also, make sure u have wired the sub the right way. the "switch" is part of the HU. like mine, if u hold the AM button down for a couple of sec's, it turns the output on and off.

if your hu has one of those it's located in the hu like balance, fade, etc.

Check in your owner's manual to see if it has a sub on/off option.

i checked for the switch in the manual and nothing

and I even called the people and they said no

take a pair of (good) rca's and run them to your amp. Donthave to hide them just see if that get subds playing. if so there ya go your RCA's are bad. If you have anouther sub or old shitty speakers. try diconnecting your good subs and then hooking up diffrent sub/speaker. is amp in protect or anything?

If you have an extra set of RCAs try running from the output on a buddies amp to the input on yours. Also try hooking your subs up directly to his working amp. You should be able to locate the problem.

We did all that

We took my sub and amp n hooked it up to his connections and it worked

we took his amp n connected it to my sub and it worked

we took my sub and connected it to his amp and it worked

we did take my amp n hooked it up to his sub but on my connections and it did not work...so it has to be something with my car because when it was on his connections, everything worked.
