My rearview fell off today...is it illegal to drive without it? also, what would be good compound to reattach it? thanks

as far as i know it is illegal to drive without one, but around here cops dont give a fack... dunno bout the 2nd part..

Depends what state you live in I believe. Here in Va. aslong as you have the sideview mirrors youre ok.

Just like cargo vans that have no rear windows. A rearview mirror would do no good.

Parts stores sell rearview mirror adhesive.

Yea be sure to clean the glass with a razor to make sure there is no old glue and just glue on the metal part first. MAKE SURE ITS ON RIGHT AND NOT UPSIDE DOWN!!! Then let that sit for 24 hours and slide the mirror back on once its cured.

What if you had a rearview camera and a screen to replace the rearview mirror? When you get up there in the dBs the rearview mirror will fall off or crack the glass from the vibration. I want to take mine off so bad because I couldn't see out of it anyway when I have the bass up.

I have drove without one for years. Even if it is illegal the cops are looking to see if you have a rearview mirror or not.

In ga i never got a ticket for it and mine fell off my cavy and had 3 speeding ticket after it fell off they never said anything to me i would google it and see

The law in virginia is that you need 2 mirrors and 1 needs to be the drivers side. You can have the drivers side and rearview or just both side mirrors. So its legal here without one. Check your local laws or go by your inspection place and ask.
