got legal tint on my dakota now, didnt want to get pulled over for tint anymore

Everytime i got pulled over (6 total) for my tint and they asked to search my car i let them.. No tickets..The 1 time i refused was when i had a car load and didnt know if anybody had anything on em. They however didn't go as far as getting a k-9 but did give me a ticket...

So if you have nothin to hide let them search or you'll more then likely get a ticket. It's stupid not letting them search. Yea you kinda feel like a bi tch but atleast you'll have alot better chance of not getting a ticket and an extra $100+ in ur pocket.

In a lot of states they can't pull you over for the tint, kinda like they can't pull you over for not wearing a seat belt. Try looking into that.

I know someone near me that has 20% all around and 35% on his windshield. Has never gotten a ticket because he let them search the 15 times he's been stopped. So this can work. All depends on the cop though. I knew someone who got pulled over and the cop told them to rip the tint off on the spot if he didn't want a ticket. He ripped it off and she(yes, female officer) gave him a ticket.

ive been pulled over twice for my tint in the past two weeks (5% on all windows and a 9in strip of 5% on the windshield) i told both cops "i got pulled over for it last night by officer _______ my appointment to have it removed is tomorrow afternoon" got let off both times so far.

The second time i got pulled over it was at midnight on a saturday.... So i think he used it as an excuse to pull me over. He asked me where i was coming from, where i was going, If i had anything to drink and what is that in the back seat ( it was an ice scraper, aparently it looked like a weapon threw the back window) He then said i have illegal tint and i should get it taken off, measured it and left.

Depends on the state. Here in PA, it used to be like that. Now they can pull you over simply because you don't have a seatbelt on.
