If you need a cheap laptop....

To an extent .... Craftsmen 1/2 inch wrench.. approx 30 dollars. snap on 1/2 inch wrench approx 300. the craftsmen has better warranty. I think the snap on has more teeth last time I recall... but you don't get 10 times the quality or usage out of the snap on
Look at any of the major professional racing leagues and the majority of their mechanics are using Snap-On, not Craftsmen. They need shit that doesn't break and having a 10-year warranty doesn't help them on the race track.
By that same token, Hyundais ship w/ a 10-year warranty and are dirt cheap ... BMWs ship w/ a 4-year warranty and cost a fortune by comparison ... I guess that means we should all drive Hyundais ?

This isn't a good deal...

I'm starting to see entry level laptops with dual cores being clearanced at Staples, BB, etc. on Slickdeals.

If you look for a good deal and jump on it while it's still on, you can find a better laptop for the same price.

Well my buddy brought one in and I tried it out today. Actually boots to windows VERY quickly (wondering now if I should try installing vista yet again) and seemed to do everything decent enough.

Only ran a few internet screens and office 2007, but still. 400 bucks.
