And gateway's hasn't??..... I don't see their 399 laptop. Last I heard gateway was JUNK

my friend had one of the toshibas with a celeron and vista and it was slow as shit.

gateway might **** but ive had the same one for over 2 years now and havent had any problems with it. its fallen 3 feet onto my hard wood floors, been kicked across the room from tripping over the charger wire, all kinds of stuff and still no problems

To an extent .... Craftsmen 1/2 inch wrench.. approx 30 dollars. snap on 1/2 inch wrench approx 300. the craftsmen has better warranty. I think the snap on has more teeth last time I recall... but you don't get 10 times the quality or usage out of the snap on

But yes you are correct. you get what you pay for. But some companies use cheaper manufacturing techniques and sometimes it doesn't affect quality that bad. And some companies make less profit per item sold

2gigs ram, home PREMIUM instead of basic, 120gb hd.....not bad at all. I'd buy one if the government didn't just **** me for twelve hundo.

HP laptop ftw imo. 17" widescreen. Speakers are loud enough. graphics are ok. fast anough. 1.8 single core amd. win xp. Does the job for me and when it dosen't use the real desktop

2 of my friends bought Toshibas, 2 of my friends Toshibas have gone to shit. 100% fail rating as far as I'm concerned.
