where would YOU put the port? I have been told drivers side is supposed to be good for numbers... but Im not TOO worried about numbers... sure they are cool to brag about... even thought its not gonna do anything huge... especially compared to most of the cars on here... but im pretty much open to anything... I have done bottom before on a friends car and that sounded good, and someone recommended side for numbers... what about middle? I have like 6 inches between the subs...

I guess if it helps its going in a mustang... believe me its the absolute last thing I wanted to do with it... I told everyone a wall is out of the question and the box HAD to be removeable. but after trying to figure out how the hell I Was going to get the cubes I wanted it was going to be nearly impossible... so I said **** it Im building a wall... I went out today and had the back of the car tinted with limo so you cant see the back of the wall and a little less than legal on the sides. I honestly dont plan on having it in the car too long as the stang is a gt... and has a bit of work done to it... and some nitrous... like a 150 shot... lol flame on I know... its just something to screw around with... if you do flame just make sure you recommend a port please? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

so one for top one for bottom... hmmmmm the box itself is done, I just have to do the front panel and put everytihng in, I Think Im going to go for the top because of the angle of the dash... maybe it will act as a corner and help some with numbers... I will post some pics when its done... I have some of it being built on my phone I guess I could post those too...

the reason for port on the driverside being good w/ numbers is the meter is mounted on the pass side, and the pressure from the speakers is going to be greater than the port press. either way its gonna be loud regardless

personally i'd do port on bottom(or middle) so long as you end up w/ a sub right behind your head:eek:

thats what I thought about the drivers side port, I was kind of hopign the top facing port would have a similar effect.

picture of dash

I dunno if that little bit of a corner with the upward slope of the dash would make a difference but I figured why not... Im gonna see what I can do about speaker placement also Im sure I can get them up pretty high... oh well pics will be coming soon enough.

hopefully your right about being loud...

bro i have done both in my neon, and they are completely and totally similar in most instances...

top and botom that is, only thing is w the port on bottom, you feel it a hell of a lot more. with the port on top, to me the lows sounded much much better.

thats my take on it,
