If Christ is the answer, what was the question?

you just proved my above post. most people believe out of guilt and fear. im going to assume IF there is a god, hes smart enough to know who really believes and who just believes cause they are scared. theres a difference.
something people don't realize...god see's your true intentions and true beliefs...not what you say or what you claim you believe...

thats also why its ridiculous...these people claiming to be christians and going to church all the time because they think they should and it means they'll go to heaven, only to be bad people in general the rest of the time in what they do...

how bout... how did we get here... ?????????? helloooooooooooooooooo
I choose to believe in Intelligent Design beyond that, I place the Biblical God as the Designer.

If you want to argue that evolution is a plausible theory, then I have a list of books for you to read, and a few points to make, but it's a lot, so if you are serious, we can chat in a instant messenger or on the phone. Just PM me.

Christianity - Living in total sacrifice to Christ because of the sacrifice he made on the cross. Not Christianity - Doin' it for the benefits.

I will agree, it is sad that the "christian church" has been labeled as a bunch of judgmental religious people who believe out of guilt.

Jesus' intentions were never to "guilt" people into belief, it is a realization of what we truly are as human beings after sin - disgusting in God's sight, and that it is only through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, that we may be found blameless after we die, and while we are alive. And, in that realization, further realizing that God (Creator) does not have to do anything for us (creation), because we are sinful, yet He still did, and does, and in that we respond with a life that is sold out for Christ.

Also realizing the amount of love for his creation, by sending his son, and choosing to respond in a way that would glorify Him through our actions and attitudes.
once again well put. The Christian church uses guilt to get people to start, i will admit that, but then people lose the guilt and follow Him on there own without doing it out of fear, or guilt. They do it because they really do appreciate what God has done for mankind.

Shaneb u got some mad skillz,

and im a roman catholic, and i think its kinda odd some of the people that go to churches like that, they dont give a sniff, they just look like they want to get out of there, and thats why i go, cause i stop people and talk to em and try and get em to really "get it" it's a shame that most "christians" dont even know whats going on, it really is

yea i bet ur also one of those people who think the world is only like 6k years old too? LOL
And this, this is a HOT TOPIC, even in the christian world, there are very very many evangelical Christians who are scientists that believe the world is actually several billion years old, and that the Genesis Creation Event 7 Days was allegorical in meaning. You can be christian and believe the earth is older than 6 thousand years.

So do Christians just believe that as long as you believe in Jesus and that 'he died for your sins' and all that jazz...you can sin as much as you like and go to heaven anyway?

Not bashing you bud, but ends don't justify means, and I do believe that the glory of the Cross is enough to win people to Christ.

Romans 6:1 What should we say, then? Should we go on sinning so that grace may increase

The answer is no, but as humans, we will continue to sin, christianity is a striving to become more like Christ. But we will not obtain that until what's knows as the "rapture."

once again this all goes back to if you TRULY believe. TO answer your question in a nutshell, yes, yes we do.
