Which is better for SQL? Is the IDMAX over $100 better than the Type X?

I can do the mags because they are dual 2 and I need a dual 4 vc config.

I want two and will be running aprox 1k to each sub. SQL is the focus so it will either be sealed or ported around 32 hertz

Idmax is definently the better sub... From what I have seen and heard

yeah i had 2 idmax's in a 6 cubic foot enclosure tuned to 28 hertz and they got really low and sounded great. You probably don't even need 1k rms because they are very sensitive and 1k is more of a thermal sinewave power handling. The Type X's have not been talked about much, probably due to the fact that they take way too much power to get loud, and they don't sound as good or get as loud as the type R.

They have actually documented that Type-R's can get louder with the right enclosure.
