So I have a brutus 1700.1 right now I have a dvc 2ohm sub. Wired at 4ohm it gets roughly 600w amp fully cranked. If I wire this at 1 ohm it should see 1700w. The sub is a mtx t812-22 it's suppose to handle 500-1500. I could still go 1 ohm and turn it down alittle......maybe?

And if I buy a second I could go with 2ohm at 1200...... My stupid question is if I wire them series/ parallel are they both getting 1200 or is it split to 600 a piece

That's what I thought but it's been a while since electrical class.........like 10 years
i understand lol. Where in texas are you im near austin.

Also i wouldnt reccomend putting 1700w to your sub. Your gains probably are not set with a DD1 so it would take only a bit of clipping to cook your coil and burn your sub up.

They should work. I have 6.5s in my lower door to replace the 8" subs that came with my mustang. They are fantastic, and outperform the 6 x 8s...

I would add an ANL Fuse @the amplifier supply with its recommended 100 ANL fuse, and Keep the 120-150 @the Battery...

You may or may not like the sound of just dropping into the stock locations but loading into the glass is definitely going to cause some issues...

LOL - mine was a higher end model too - iirc deh-9300. Low mileage too, it was sitting around for year collecting dust.
