Ideas for new system setup

Hey guys. New to the forum. Just got a new car not too long ago and I'm trying to plan out a decent setup in my 2012 cts coupe. It has some what of a small trunk which is downside to my setup. Looking at building a 4 cubic foot ported box at the biggest. I've been using rockford amps and subs but unfortunately my 1500bd amp just blew after 10 years of use. Decided to give my 12" t2s to my girl for her car so I'm looking at a fresh start. Haven't decided on a setup yet but thinking of either 1 15 or 2 12s since I'm limited to trunk space. Been out of the loop for years as far as brands go so I'm here to get some opinions on sub brands to use. I figured I would stick with rockford amps since I've had great experience with them. Looking at around 1500 rms to push the subs in a ported box. Any ideas? I'm looking for a nice balance between sq and spl and would like to spend less than 800 on subs alone.

Im surprised no one wants to chime in. Still looking for good subs. Wish I could find something that was like the old rockford hx2 powers. Ideally I would like to spend 400-500. How does sundown and fi subs compare to the hx2s?

Man there are a ton of options for 12" subs at 400 a piece! Let's bump this up, I'm sure a hundred different people have opinions lol.

2 Sundown Audio SA-12's might be the most common answer here, and would be pretty happy on 1500 watts... and cost closer to 400.00... not 800.00.

I'm looking really, really hard at Shok Industries subs and amps... but two of the 1K's would want more than 1500 watts I would think.

there are many options for you ,and there are better amps as well ,sundown ,american bass , dc, obsidians,ia, and tantric just for a few starters . as far as sq and loud it can be done if you plan your system right , but you will want your front stage to keep up with the sub stage for the sq part to balance .most 2500 watt rms amps will need some electrical upgrades as well

Not too worried about mids and highs right now since I got my components and amps for them. Planned on either a t1000 or t1500 for the subs. Looking at a nice sized alternator for my car along with 0 gauge wire. I'm not new to the audio world so I'm not too worried about the setup. Just looking for some nice subs. I would go with the rockford t2s again but I kinda want to try something new. Like I said before I'm out of the loop when it comes to all these newer brands that I haven't heard about before. I was looking at the fi q and fi bl, sundown sa12s and 15s. Just don't know what's good. I want something that will sound good, hit the lows great, and last a long time.

I need to get my *** to a sound show. I need to hear some new brands. There's no good audio places where I live now that I can get an idea of what everything sounds like. Best option is best buy which is very sad. I miss going into shops and see how people working there know nothing about car audio.

About 2.5 hours away. But I've made that trip in about 1.5 before. Might have to come down. Haven't been to one in years. Last time I've been to a show, Memphis audio was just starting to get big and hifonics amps were all the rage.
