ID OEM's + Seas Neo's = awesomeness!

How's the midbass on them?
the mid-bass on the ID's is sick. very very tight punchy mid-bass. i have them crossed at 80hz/12db.

they could handle a lower crossover point which would obviously make them extend lower, but i prefer them crossed at 80hz with a little boost in the 80-125hz area to get the extra punch out of them. plus my sub extends plenty high and still remains hidden. on certain music is just sounds like i have 8's or 10's up front.

you can also see from the graph that i have plenty of mid-bass. i boosted 80hz and 125hz each by one notch, that is all.

Woot, finally got some other tweets! It is nice for a change, isn't it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
ohhhhh yea! the RSD's just weren't cutting it anymore. they were a good set, but it was just time to upgrade. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I hear ya mang! I wish I had some time to lay aside like you do, so I could do some custom work on my A-pillars for my tweets. They seem to be a little soft now or just got used to them! Thinking it will sound better once I get my external crossover hooked up, as my internal one on the amp blows for some reason.

How much did those tweets run ya? And what do you mean you had to solder or glue something in the tweet?

they were $63 plus shipping for the pair. pretty inexpensive really.

ummmm, it's hard to explain but the terminals on the tweeters are just a bit fragile. so to prevent any issues i used some hot glue to reinforce them. i didn't take any pictures to show, sorry.

Im so jealous seriously, i been using my combo on my rear deck for the last week or so, to "break in" the tweeters and midbass drivers and it sounds wonderful passive.

I so want to install them up front in my kick panels and see the difference when I get my new crossover and run them active.

I think the Seas Neo is going to be the next upgrade after I move on from these VC 100s.

I run the ID OEM's with the Vifa textiles.

wow is all i say. For the amount of money i spent on these speakers, it is incredible how they sound.

Nice setup.

That's the same thing I said about my RSD's and a bunch of people told me it was user error.

Did you ever try the Seas off-axis as they really don't lose any output? I hot glued mine the minute I got them as it is their only flaw...
nope, i have not tried them off-axis. just got them yesterday and installed them in my existing pods.
