ID OEM's + Seas Neo's = awesomeness!

Sweet! Thanks, good to know. I'm actually looking for another set of tweets right now....I love the TangBands sound wise, but they can't handle power for shit. I am running Mpyre/Extremis mids right now so I need a twet that will get fairly low and handle some power. No small feat for a small format one to handle.

the power handling spec on the seas tweets is:

short term power handling : 220 watts

long term power handling : 90 watts

aaand, if you look in the pdf file, they say those power handling ratings are at a crossover point of 2.5khz at a 12db slope. so yea, they will take some power. i listen loud and these stay crystal clear. they sound the same at high volume as they do at low volume, and same with the ID mids. they are both very linear.

Sounds well worth a look....

You get em from Madisound?

Shoulda got the LPG's. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

Make sure you tape, hot glue or silicone those tinsel leads. They are very fragile.

which lpg's are those?

they are hot glued!!! that was the first thing i did with them. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

The aluminum domes. Quite comparable to the Seas alum with maybe a little more "body" and less "iciness." The extension and detail is great on both. LPG's are designed better, I think and you can get a few different mounting cups for them.

With the Seas you're stuck with press fitting them, but only after you modify them so they're not useless. I heard Seas was "looking into" the problem, but they obviously didn't do shit on the RT27f or their newest Lotus Performance tweeter (same design as the Prestige).

well these Seas are a huge step up from what i was using so i am really happy with them. the press fit wasn't a problem for me, and i prevented the tinsel lead problem with some hot glue and about 2 minutes of time. they seem well worth the price i paid.

Nice man get some pics up:).
here are the pics you asked for, sorry for the delay.
