I am looking at upgrading my speakers again... Just did the Eclipse Coaxials from the factory BOSE about 3-4 months ago. amped of course but now with the APX18, XXX-6500D i need more sound!

They will be amped accordingly (closest to rms as possible)

All about the same price so don't let that be a factor....

I have the 61/tw-25's and they get loud off just 150w with not much distortion.

Haven't heard all of them, but voted for CDTs because I have heard them and they are very enjoyable for the price, and I never get tired of the tweeter. The RSD set people seem to be getting bored of after a while, and I think I've been reading the tweeter is somewhat harsh after a bit.

screw your list. Pioneer TS-D1720C should be around your price range.

Would do the 720c's from Pioneer. I have them and love them! Sound like a more expensive componet set.

try grabbing a good eq if you can... 15 - 30 band.... once i learned how to use it - i love mine and cant live without it... you can more or less flatten out any decent speaker to sound great...

OK... the CDT's have 75% of the vote...

So i think i will snag up 2 pairs of those along with a cheaper amp like the Phoenix Gold V754... RMS 150W X 4 @ 4ohm.... how does that sound...? i know the amp is a little more power then the 110W rms they suggest but they should be OK right?

blah..your wasting your time and money on those low level cdt's. CDT mid level to high end stuff is pretty **** good but their cheapo stuff has nothing great to offer.
