So i installed my new RF power series 5.25" components, long story short, i noticed the "lamp" Fuse was lighting up to the point where i would see it glow, almost as if it was on fire when i had my music at a pretty high volume level(but comfortable)

Is this normal, i wondered why they would call it a lamp, but at the same time, how does it get that hot and not break the small fuse, i think its 10A.... im only pushing about 60wrms to it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif

i dont see how, they dont seem that loud//distorted to mei guess i could back down the gains a tad, but it was set with a dmm

You set the gains with a dmm with the HU at 75% and bass/trebble set at zero, then you cranked up the bass and turned the HU up to full, then your way beyond the red line and into clipping land.

Bass robs you of power quickly. Turn the bass down and they will get louder.

It's not really a fuse, it's actually a type of small bulb (although it is supposed to blow if it gets too hot). The idea is it's supposed to burn off exessive energy as light/heat rather than allow the drivers to fry. So when you see the light, it's already trying to protect your drives. If it wasn't there you would already have fried them.
