IA Flatlyne 12s w/ Shredder Basket

Just cuz something has a thermal rating of 1200 doesn't mean it needs 1250 to get loud. You can have plenty of output on any of their drivers under the rms rating.

And yes. Their quality isnt declining by any means

I can’t! Those subwoofers require too much power. I only have 600+ watts to work with at 2 Ohms and getting another amplifier isn’t really an option either because of my stock 100 amp alternator. I have 500 watts rms for the speakers in my car + that 600 watts for the sub.
Currently have an Alpine 12” SWS in a sealed box that does prettty well but being that it’s a budget sub I know there could be better. Back in the day the SSA DCON would have been perfect; too bad I didn’t grab one when I had the chance. SSA doesn’t have a DCON available yet and will it really be as good as the old one? Wish there were more options for SQ subwoofers in the 400-600 watt range. AudioFrog and NVX X series look promising but not sure that would be much better than the Alpine.
Dayton ho is cheap and a really nice sq woofer

Subscribed, I want to read your review. I’ve had my eye on this sub for a while because I like SQ subs that don’t need thousands of watts to run them.
I get my X5 next week and depending on if I can make these fit in the spare tire area I'll either build a fiberglass enclosure for them in the X5 or have my builder start on the truck enclosure. I should have a review in a couple of weeks.

I've been eyeing that woofer for a while. Needs 700 watts though and would probably do best with a 800-1000 watt amplifier especially sealed.
The Image Dynamics ID series is a great low power sub that sounds great and get loud.

They all say they are in stock but they aren't. Just like my SSA Zcons and Evils were "in stock" but had a super long build time.
