I cannot believe this I had a kicker zx500.1 pushing 2 12 mtx7500 (sledgehammer box) and it sounded good.
Saved some money and bought Alpine MRP-M1000 and ran it at 2ohms to the woofer yes hocked up the speaker to 2 ohms (double checked with multi meter) and the amp ***** yes more watts but SQ ***** on this amplifier.

I was getting more SQ from my kicker !

So No mas to Alpine

Same here bro. I have my ex gf going up to Boston next week to bring me back my old school gear... Only problem is that I forget what I have... I know one of the items is an Alpine 7525
