That video is insane. There is no way i need that much power in my trunk. Im sure half that would suffice.

What are you guys thoughts, for a novice, and one type are in a trunk? Inexpensive, and powerfull, right? yeah, yeah i know its all about the enclosure, but ill something good later.

anyways right now, just about the sub, for a first time sub owner, this would be okay, because i still think that visoniks in a prefab bandpass sound good. lol

the reason the Type r sounds like that is because of the TCAB box //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Why is everyone hyping up Tcab. Dont get me wrong they look like REAL nice boxes, and its cool that they use all wood in there boxes (like no screws and stuff) but if you just build the same size box with the same port area and length.. it should be just as good as long as you got the right amount or bracing... Or is there something about TCAB that manages to bend time spaces and sound to do something other boxes cant?

its in what looks to be a older ranger or some kind of cheap light truck. That helps the flex alot too. Its also taken to a exteam... he probably got ALOT of power and the box built about as good as possable for type-r's. I would go ahead and get too of them. You will be happy.

do you think your gonna do what looks like a 4 cubic foot + box with a 8 inch port? probably not, so you will not move as much air, or put as much power, so you wont generate as much SPL and make as much Flex. I did 1 Type R in a prefab Q-logic Bandpass with a 500W kenwood driving it. Sounded clean.. was loud but not TO loud. you would probably be happy, and have room to improve your enclsure if you wanted more without having to get all new equipment

he is being completely sarcastic....
Type Rs are great sounding subs with the potential to get very loud. They sound good in sealed aswell as ported.
Gotch ya, lol

Thats exactly what I want. I want some good, clean sounding bass, with no distortion what-so-ever that is loud, but not so loud im heard all over town.
