I was happy to see the UPS truck today.

**** looks like a plate of spaghetti, but there's a floor over it that I put my box on. As far as floor space this didn't save me much over the Crown, but I have room the the Audiocontrol crossover and EQ, and in theory I can lower come down a few more inches if I need.

Probaby going to throw this big box in for a little bit, then settle on a different arrangement to optimize space and get something reasonably loud that lets me have a back seat.

This box moved some air. Sadly I never even got the crown up to full power before it started acting funny. These subs are super stiff (a single took the Crown pretty well, so when I got to run this box off an AB 500.1 it was only just tickling them.

Once I get the Minotaurs dialed in and gain matched the way I like I'll toss this box in for a couple weeks just to see what happens.

So far I'm liking the Minotaurs. Got them on a pair of 12's in a weak box. They definitely make good power and I'm only running them to 3 ohm nominal. I think chasing numbers I could squeeze a bit more out of them @ 2 ohms on the money. Not sure if I've even got to their limits yet, I need to find some place secluded to do some real testing. So far with only 40A fuses on these amps they seem to really get down... Expect full review once I get to really put some time into playing with them.

Your port looks like a hole in the box.
What was the airspace and tuning?
It's around 18 cube, . Tuning seems to be @ 40hz, possibly a little lower. I was really shooting for 50hz so I could have the option of putting an insert in for lower tuning. As it sits it has quite a flat response, which actually kind of *****, since I wanted this to be one-note.

rather large port sir
port is 12.5 X 24" I'd have liked to go bigger actually, but I didn't think it would work well.

This is the space I have to work with. Batteries and amps under the floor there and I wanted to take advantage of the extra space up front.

Side shot of the box here:

Good bit of bracing for good measure

After this last pic, I put another layer of wood on top and all sides (bottom was already double layered). It is very solid.

Looks great man.
Looks like a bowl of pasta, but with this layout it's tight for space to mount distro's and run wire, and if I raised the board to run wires underneath it would defeat the whole benefit of saving space with these amps.

Really the purpose of these amps is to get me up @ 5K that will sound good and I won't have to worry about blowing up like all the big Chinese and Korean amps always do. I have a bit of money into these Zeds, but no more than I pissed away in the last year or two in repair costs on poorly designed far-east rubbish.

Are you planning on covering the boxes to make ut look nicer? Also i would have put that money towards a new truck. Never understood putting all that money into older trucks and cars.
