I'm thinking of maybe reconsidering...
I was dead set on two AA Havoc 18's to go in a 2003 Escalade ESV. I have the space for it and had a box all mapped out but now I'm questioning it.
See, the last time I really heard a half decent system was 15 years ago and it was my 12" Rockford Powers with Power 1,000's bridged mono with one on each. I've never heard of DC, AA, RE, Fi, SSA, etc until a few months ago. These simply weren't out at the time. All we had was Precision Power, MTX, Rockford, Kicker, etc.
I wanted a good balanced sub that also hit hard so I decided on the AA Havoc after an assload of research. That's 100% the sub that I'm going with.
My question is: Do I need the 18's? Will two 12's these days with a few thousand watts be an entirely different beast? I could honestly use the extra space saved if I will still get low. Maybe one 18?
