im telling you! do it my way it will be 100x more efficient than these other "solutions"

go to wal-mart and buy

a spray bottle of degreaser that is ok for carpets

a can of spray on glass cleaner

a spray bottle of good smelling armor-all type plastic cleaner

use a little car shampoo from home

put degreaser and soap in a 5 gal bucket w. water, take a sponge and wipe floor carpets, seats, any other carpeted parts (headliner if you want to go crazy- not neccessary)

let it soak for a few min while you wipe down all plastic w. the armor all (or whatever you decide to buy) cleaner

shop-vac the interior

youll be all set.

It will take about 20-30 min and cost approximently 8-10 dollars. and besides, you'll have a clean car when youre all done

spray a whole can of Tag body spray all inside you car and the smell will be gone.

^its not that strong of a smoke smell. just strong enough to realize its there.

That's probably because you're used to it. As a non-smoker who lets their friends smoke in his car, I still smell the smoke several days after even when they say "Dude it doesn't smell like smoke at all."

What works for me is Febreze, but not the normal kind, one of the scented ones. Pick out one that you can stand and spray the headliner/carpet/seats with it. Leave your car shut for about half an hour, then vacuum your seats (just so you don't get out of your car smelling like Rocky Springs or whatever the scent is).

you can buy a can of stuff from most truck stops that you close all windows, turn a/c / heat on full blast and set off the can of stuff.

you leave it like this for 15-20 minutes and every smell is gone completely.. i think ti is around $10 per can.
