I want 150 in a trunk car...no walls

I did 149.5 out of my trunk, seats folded up, but that was on tones. Never metered on music, because I was only interested in my score for Pro Trunk class, which requires seats up. It did a 152 on tones with the seats down at 44hz, and was extremely loud on music, although I can't claim a 150, because I never metered it. It was 2 DD 9510's on 4 Sundown SAZ-1500's in a folded horn, tuned to 38ish hz.

notice the back seats are up in the video, so I would guess 146ish on music. It was insane for daily driving.

Ummm, as others have stated, 150 for daily is completely retarded. I sure hope its just for wow factor and you won't be listening to that daily.

Get ready to spend quite a bit of money. You're gonna go through several boxes and need a term lab handy very often. I was doing high 130 in my trunk setup, not sure what its gonna be with a more powerful amp now, but I couldn't listen to it loud full tilt more than 30 to 45 mins straight.

Well i got prob 5-6 cubes max to work with....a vfl 400.1 and strong electrical...what do i need to hit 150 db's and use for daily. As long as it can play music im happy doenst have to sound great just decent, i want loud. Please let me know what i should do, i have 06 xxx's now and they arent as loud as i thought thye would be but **** do they get low and sound good, but i guess i want spl more the sql
Have you ever heard a system capable of doing a true 150?

i wouldent mind haveing a 150 daily driver, just for the wow factor //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
"oh, you like loud music?"
I wouldnt mind either, but I wouldn't be inside playin it that loud. And if I were inside I'd have a bass knob and keep that sucker down.

Not too much was done after this besides some slight paint and then I'm going to rip it out soon. It's tuned to 30hz, supposedly. It did pretty decent on the meter when it came to tones (i think the last testing i did was in MECA, 149.6 on the headrest, i think it was and I did 150.2 legal, like brandon described with 4 hifonics 1606ds, not the sundowns.) it wasn't the best but music was quite impressive. Especially 8Ball & MJG - Hickory Dickory Dock.

I need to build a new box and work on the electrical/sound deadening some now.But with a very shitty box, tuning/placement way off I could do over a 140 at 30hz, do 147's-149's playing music.

PS: It's retarded loud, no real point in attempting to drive around at those levels.Only time I was able to do that was in the middle of the night when there were only a couple other cars and cops out.

yea 150 on music is almost impossible to drive around with. It's cool to show off with and for competitions but between the vibration, the pressure on your ears, along with the cops, it is pretty much crazy to think you can just bump 150db everywhere you go. I personally love it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

I LOVE having the ability to though. But honestly, past the first couple of days I hardly EVER turned it up to that point.

All I can say is, it DOES hurt.On the lower notes.......you can just feel it like pulsating your ear drums, which is weird sort of pain.
