no because if that was the case then my mustang is louder then everyone i know with 1 solo x 12, and i swapped taht out for 2 xxx's, i just want a loud daily driver that does near a 50, anyone have any ideas on subs and maybe a box design

Well i got it, box was causing cancellation becuz it sealed off the trunk, im doing near a 147 148 with them. It gets deep as hell tuned to 32. Sounds great anyway thanks for th help

yea 150 on music is almost impossible to drive around with. It's cool to show off with and for competitions but between the vibration, the pressure on your ears, along with the cops, it is pretty much crazy to think you can just bump 150db everywhere you go. prob only thing id rather have then the xxx's are the 5200s i put them in a magnum today in a samll box the 15s that is in about 2.5 a piece ad they wang at about 1500 rms a piece, i was impressed

what did you end up getting? and your hitting 147 on the TL?

im not sure yet...i did a 144 without adjustments, and when i did adjust everything sounded twice as loud...it might be 147+ but it flex's so much...ill find out saturday thats for sure

Not too much was done after this besides some slight paint and then I'm going to rip it out soon. It's tuned to 30hz, supposedly. It did pretty decent on the meter when it came to tones (i think the last testing i did was in MECA, 149.6 on the headrest, i think it was and I did 150.2 legal, like brandon described with 4 hifonics 1606ds, not the sundowns.) it wasn't the best but music was quite impressive. Especially 8Ball & MJG - Hickory Dickory Dock.

I'm "guessing" that you'd want them firing forward and sealed off from the trunk, pseudo walled. Assuming your rear seat folds down....
You looking at a single or dual sub set up?

is a pseudo wall just when you lay your seats down and have the subs firing into the car? port facing the front or the rear?
