You are correct. I worked hard at school so I don't have to work hard moving furniture with the hope that some person donates food and water out of the generocity of their heart. You are not different than than winos that grace our downtown landscapes looking for a handout.

Sorry I use my mind and not my back. I am sure your investment portfolio is balanced as mind. I mean c'mon, with all those 60 hours weeks, you should be retired in no time. People in my profession command $100k+ for working 60 hour weeks. But they don't bitch about not getting tipped either.

He expects a handout. Plain and simple.

Big tough guy with all that manual labor, but then beg for food. ha.
This made me laugh

WTF is a bullit?
Is that a new kitchen mixer?
I think its a mustang.

I park cars for a living...and its only right that they tip...valet is just one of those jobs. like pizza boy, Waiter, some one who can "do" there job..but goes out of their way to make sure they are "doing" their job as best as they can for your favor. goin out of their way for you...u know what i mean? i think people who move stuff and deliver furniture are going out of their way to make sure it doesnt scratch or break..i would at least offer them a glass of water, some lemonade. hell ill buy em lunch..thats just being nice..and called consideration of others..itll be nice if everyone had some

true enough..

but if a person didnt tip you, would you shit in their car?

the point isnt whether or not its proper to tip him, it was whether or not its acceptable to shit on/in someones stuff as payback for being an *******

In general I have found rich people to be more careless of "trades people". I almost said disrespectful but I do not think that is so. I think they, in general, have no regard at all and consider them to be just part of the furniture.

I have also found the "average Joe" to be better tippers and more respectful. Perhaps this is because they better understand how hard it is to earn money and appreciate the good feeling a good tip brings.

By taking good care of my oil burner technician...coffee, cool drinks, good tip, etc...when I needed service when my burner quit in mid winter during the night...it is always in the middle of the freaking night...he came right away.

I tip my mechanic...sometimes it is just a sub, pizza, etc. and always get great service at my time schedule especially when pressed for time.

Don't forget the trash haulers. I treat them very well. Cold water and soda in the summer, hot coffee in the winter and a Christmas bonus...not much really but $20 bucks means a lot when you get nothing. My trash guys always put my container near my garage door rather than at the end of the driveway just laying around. They also take anything I put out...without abusing the system of course.

It is amazing the type of service and care you receive when tipping decently. I am not saying otherwise service sucks but when going the extra mile it is nice to be financially appreciated for it.

I was moving a couple today, out of a 2.5 million dollar house. 90% of the time, I get offered something to drink, and get lunch, tip, etc. These people were the biggest as*es EVAR!!! My helpers and I were sweating our balls off, unloading a whole trailer of these people's shat, and was never offered a single glass of water, or anything. I asked them, if they were going out, If I gave them money, could they get us some lunch. The husband said "No, we really dont want to go out for you guys". Thats when I started FUMING!!!!!!!1 hour later, the wife shows up w/ 3 pizza pies, and takes the husband and 2 kids out on the patio and eat right in front of us!!!!! *&$#@(^%#%^&&**(!!!!!!!

After that, I asked for water, and he said......"the spicket is by the garage"

*^%$#@$&&**(&^&%$%#$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@ the end, no thanks, tip, good job...............nothing....not even a goodbye.....

So as I walked to the truck, I spun around, walked back to the house, asked to use the bathroom....(the only thing they did offer), and took the plate off the upper toilet bowl area, and SHAT right in there!!! Hence, "upper deck"

Now, every time its flushed, the toilet fills up w/ looks like chocolate milk, AND IT STINKS!!!!!!!!!

Halehlulia...(sp)

I highly recommend that to someone who pisses you off!

Thats my story of the day for you guys.
good 1, i hate people like that, if you lose your job youll prolly get something better, ive done a few moves, I PHUKING HATE IT.cant imagine doing it every day //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/*******.gif.a649d21efc0d1fd4890a6428166586c1.gif couches and fridges up and down stairs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/*******.gif.a649d21efc0d1fd4890a6428166586c1.gif :*******:

you shouldnt have to tip someone todo their job. you say you take extra care of their personal belongings so that they do not get scratched or broken. does that mean that when someone pays you to move their stuff, they dont expect it to be moved in once peice, and in the same condition it was before?....tipping should not be expected by anyone every person who does a job should be tipped then.

Just because you dont do your job halfassed does not mean you should get a tip.

Being a dick to someone is diff, yes if your moving and its hot out you should bring your own lunch and drinks not their fault you dont goto work ready. but they should have offerd you somthing to drink thats just polite.

I dont belive in tipping unless the person really goes above and beyond their job description. that does not mean brining a hot pizza to my door, or brining me food at a restraunt.

The only tip i get at work is the odd "by the way that person is HIV positive just so you know."
