instead of splitting the wire I just jump from one amp to the other one, more than 2 amps though you may want to relay it to be safe

That's what I did.

Connected amp remote terminals together, and then from my sub amp, ran the remote wire to the HU.

find me one post where i say i know what i'm doing about installs? i come here for information on what equiptment to buy when it comes time to buy more, then i pay someone else to install it for me. inbetween systems i waste time in the lounge.
