I took all your advice

I say the Cdt s in the speaker clasifieds here under WTB component speakers all people replied one co had them for 190 another had them for 195 check it out. Do you think they are worth kicking down 70 bucks more ? prob a little better quality maybe ?
If you can get those HD 61 for under $200? Those would be the ones Id Deff Snagg up,Second choice would be the Image Dynamics, then the CDT 62 be my 3rd choice

I am kinda new to this again since when i was younger lol 50 now and gettin back into it ha ha its alot more fun when you can buy what you want atleast . Can i ask what you do to your doors before you install the speakers like should i put sound deadner in there and where does it go ? all over ? and do you cover between door panels and the doors too ? and also should there be covers over the speaker backs inside the doors so they dont get wet ?

My nephew is running the Image Dynamics in his Scion,on an old Hifonics Thor VII, and they sound Fantastic for the money, that I put in there. My neice I put some PPI components in her Honda on a Autotek BTS 7100, and those sound amazing for the money.Im running CDTs and love all of them, sound Best from my ear of all of them

LOL..Welcome back sir..I myself will be 45 this yr..Been playing around with car audio since 87,as one of my hobbies.Sound deadening the doors completely works best/best results,Inside and out for best,Yet, you can just do the inside doors, and use a Foam Baffle to place the speakers in as well, to keep them Dry,and can be found Quite cheaply off of E-bay

I disconnected the Rear pillar speakers in my truck, and left them in place.Really dont need them, as they are sitting up a bit high, and cause a sound Fase issue if you will./overwhelming array from the location verses the components setup, which blend in well with the substage from the rear, and sounds much better.

Thanks I used to be way into it to back in the 80s so I got a basic understanding and worked installation and construction of verious types of electronics so the installation wireing and making cables come easy for me as well as auto mech so i am able to do it all myself. its just the picking out equip that will work well that i dont know. But this site is awesome , Lots of people willing to help out! And thanks for your help too! I see you got an extra cab ? did you take the back seat out and build a big box for your subs ?

I did take it out,and built a box for 4 12s,Running approx 4krms on substage, and approx 4-600 rms on mids and highs.Still working on cleaning it up,as Ive finally found the amps I want to keep in.Im wanting to hit a min of 145-150 db,for my Final SPL build,Ill go back to an SQL build with these components I feel.Im going to be doing a Wall for the Subs I believe now though,as the subs seem to want more Cu ft at tilt

Where did you mount your tweeters ?
In the Stock location for the 6.5 location, I have a Mid/woofer Tweet Combo.Braxal set,6.5 cl60,I placed on the door panel next to that, and in the door pillar,I have a CDT tweet in Stock Tweet location, and In the A-pillar, I have a Kicker Ks25 tweet

Just ordered the baffles lol Ya it would be easier and funner with out the seat but its a work truck mostly and i need the seat but maybe when i retire the old girl ha ha then i can do what ever
