i think my amp went into protection mode. how do i fix?

its a kicker kx300.2 300 watt amp

hooked up to 2 150 w 12" 8 ohm kickers

when i got into my car after school and turned on the music they werent hitting

and the power LED wasnt illuminated i checked and made sure all the wiring was in tact and it was

i pulled out the head unit to make sure everything was legit

so after i do all that i try again and when i flip the key on the protection light comes on then goes off.

but they still dont work so i think its in protection mode

Check your fuses, make sure they arent blown

Throw it down on the ground

Then hook it back up.

the fuses are intact both on the amp and under the hood

and i really dont want to throw it on the ground

check to make sure you have a good ground, touching BARE metal

i hit my old american bass D1000 a few times on the bottom plate and it came out of protect haha... odd.

idk try unhooking everything and then hooking it back up see if it comes out of it?

ok the ground is fine its nice and sturdy

fuses are good

jsut rewired the deck cuz it needed it anyway

unhooked everyuthing from the amp but remote ground and power

same thign happend

hook everything back up same thign happend

Unhooking everything INCLUDES unhooking power, ground, and remote. One of these could possibly be the problem. A few strands out where they shouldn't be, etc. Unhook it all, then plug everything back up, making sure the grounds are tight and no stray strands of wire are visible.

unplugging the rcas for a few minutes usually does it for my amp for some reason
