yes, and two 2 ohm loads (dual 2 ohm, for the sake of explaining) can be wired down to a 1 ohm load

it does....but you have (2) DVC 4ohm....4+4=2 on EACH sub....hence 2+2=1 on the final wiring

ok so i hooked the subs i found last night u. first i hooked them up to the amp they were with and it is stuck in protect. just like i thought, i had a feelin somin was wrong with that amp. next i hooked it up to my sundown prototype amp that i bought from jacob. they beat for a sec then stopped playin. the amp doesnt have any warning lights just a power light. i use this amp to push my w6 every day. but now it wont do anythinng. the power light comes on but no sound comes out.
i have done coutless installs so i no what i am doing. the only think i can think of id that the amp isnt 2 ohmss stable. but i could swear my jl is at 2 ohms.

im guessing that amp wasnt 1 ohm stable? you better start making some phonecalls.

how long did it play before it went into protect? did you have it cranked? you may have blown the amp

get an SAZ-1500D from Jacob and you'll be good to go...if you need a new amp that is....sorry dude

i had one when i was runnin 3 w6's. i can use the extra channels on my 450/4. i was gonna sell it though..... but i guess ill hold off till i get this amp fixed. hope fully ill have my sub sold by tomorrow

i should have bought a voltage meter. i usually always use it to check my ohms before hook up.
