I now see why all our packages get destroyed.

lol i used to misort alot when i first started, but now i havent had a mis-sort in months thats been my fault. Sometimes they put packages on my trucks after I leave. I know when my mom had something shipped, it went to like oklahoma instead of MI. It happens.

Sorry I love talking about this stuff since its my mundane job lol

One time my buddy shipped his PS2 through UPS. I helped him make a special 5 layer thick impermeable box with layers of sponges inside. He got if fixed and it returned to him in a pretty crappy box, but hey it worked. If I can offer everyone here my advice, ship air not ground. An air container is only about 7 feet high inside vs the inside of a feeder which can be I assume 10 feet. Longer falls. Besides that, 1 person unloads the container vs up to 6 in the truck. That many pissed off people in one spot and things start flying. And **** it, put your labels on the largest flat side that faces up. And tape your stuff up too. Morons ship boxes with 50lbs of screws, nuts, bolts, and they spill everywhere because they slap on one piece of tape. If it agravates anyone, it will be handled worse. When something smashes my foot cause it fell out of a box, I tend to kick it.

meh i'll still UPS. I package my shitz well enough to the point where i can toss it over the empire state building without a harm to whats inside //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Hamburgers and cake when I go in tonight. I better get a **** plaque. Hell, give me a raise to you cheap bastards. UPS= Under Paid Suckers. What can Brown do for you?
brown can bring my **** amp already so i can go get some greek for lunch and stop peekin out the window like a baser every time i hear a noise in the parking lot.

Speaking of deliveries... has anyone ever called in sick (or skipped school) to stay home and receive the goods?

I don't do that so much w/ car audio stuff, cause I usually can't use/install stuff right away, anyhow. But, I build custom PCs and when I have a new shipment of stuff coming in for a new build, I call in and veg out all day in my basement... finally comin' out at 10pm lookin' like Sadaam.

i work nights, but theres been a few times i stayed up all day waiting on things, recieving things, installing etc.. and ended up goin back to work with no sleep
Yup! And it's worth it every time! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fro.gif.c695f1f814b01c4ad99fe7f8cccadd29.gif

Well my amp arrived as I was reading this thread oddly enough...I mentioned the giant pile of boxes to the driver and he was like no, they don't do that...I was temped to show him the pics...Box is dented...was pretty much a new box before I shipped it...shook the amp..doesn't sound like anything is broken off inside...but after reading this I don't think I will use ups ever again...

*No offense to ANY UPS worker on here.. dont take it personal.*
I just had a group interview with UPS this morning, and as we walked down the long *** row of conveyer belts, and truck loading sytems, i see guys just tossing boxes from one belt to another, it made me sick. And they wonder why they get so many complaints.

Im not sure what was worse, the unloading, or the loading.

The unloading they were tossing boxes from a big semi, to this PILE of boxes, not placing, tossing boxes, denting them, and probably destroying whatever is inside. Even the boxes with 5 or more fragile stickers on them, they still just tossed them.

I will never again use UPS as a shipping method (not that i did anyways)
This thread makes me feel all warm and tingly inside now that your sub is on its way..atleast i used FedEx, but i doubt they are any different.
