I now see why all our packages get destroyed.

No idea, I wasn't lucky enough to break the jam.

Hey snoopdan, where'd you get the picks? I've been dying to show my woman this top secret job I've worked at for 5 years. I recognize the second one as secondary sort...

Currently waiting on my JL amp coming in a few hours from UPS ...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Amoung more interesting UPS stories: 15 pounds of weeed inside a black garbage bag in a clear tupperware container, A styrofoam cooler leaking horse semen, *****'es, a bunch of queen bee's landing all over me inside an air container ( They didn't sting because they were cold, I think there was dry ice or something). Oh yeah and one time everyone freaked out because this box had a red flashing light seen through the seems at the clear tape. I sent it on its merry way down a belt for someone else to get blown up by it.

I work at fed ex right now on the van lines. In my year there, i have seen alot of bad workers that don't care how your package is treated.

However the real destroyer of packages is the system its shipped in.

As mentioned before those jams will absolutley crush packages. Today I had to stop a jam (which is no safe feat believe me) and the force behind the jam when its released is unbelievably strong.

My belt does on average 4600 packages/night. It only gets heavier up to x-mas.

And because of the higher volume we do, they dont extend our hours. They simply rush the sort. So we do more packages in less time.

It happens at all shipping companies, and its a risk you take not delivering the package yourself sadly.

But I'll let you know this that if you ever ship a box to Westland, Wayne, Garden City, Or Livonia Michigan, i will take extra care of your package //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Well said. Durring peak season we go from 150,000 packages a night to 300,000 a night. Instead of the hourly's getting 3 hours they get 4.

lol. did you get your plaque today too?!! lol. And cake!! lmao!
Hamburgers and cake when I go in tonight. I better get a **** plaque. Hell, give me a raise to you cheap bastards. UPS= Under Paid Suckers. What can Brown do for you?

I h8 to say it, but it could likely be somewhere else.... at our terminal our goal for scanning is 99% each day.

I usually hit above 99.5% on the worst of days, but i can't say ne thing like that except for maybe 1 or 2 other workers.

So maybe your package isnt in the 99%, hopefully its safely on its way to you.

My belt barely and rarely hits scanning lol. Alot of the ppl average like low 97% or high 96%. Sometimes worse lol.
