I don't think you're being unreasonable at all, you have every right to want to break even after a bad deal.

There's alot of different ways this could be resolved, but none of them should involve you losing money.

Im getting used to losing money lol. Last set of subs I bought off here before these left me screwed out of a decent amount. Bought 2 L7 12's in a enclosure and one came with a locked up cone and dead coil not to mention the box was destroyed. Im having some bad luck with subs.

I figure he can either pay back the 75 and cover return shipping or at the very least 75+half shipping......if not then I keep the box and sub and he doesnt have to repay anything. So he can either take the 200 or send me 100 for half the shipping and to cover the 75 and be stuck with one sub, a box and 100 bucks.....

I was thinking he pays shipping both ways +75 and radar detector. He gets his subs/box back (if it was packaged with subs). He can pay for it out of the insurance $. He should have insured it for more to account for the shipping if things go wrong. The extra couple dollars to insure so everybody is happy should have been factored into the price on his end. That is his fault for not insuring the full cost of the product. They buyer is the one taking the risk and should be protected.

But I thought if( exp )if i sell something to you and if the Packege gets damage(during shipment) and you have insurance then you get the money cause it's a done deal?!?!?!

that or you blew it. clipping off 50w can kill subs. and dont bring up ''well what does tuning down your volume do'' thing. itss about clipping and i bet you were. but file the claim on your side is my opinion. get teh monies

Clipping, in and of itself, does not damage speakers.

The claim is being handled on his end so he is getting the payment. Id much rather have my 75 bucks back but im not paying to ship this stuff back. If I wanted to be an *** I could have my brother file a paypal claim on the 75 but im trying to be reasonable with the guy.

@sam_b03 I agree he should have gotten it insured for a higher amount but 200 was as high as he went on it.

@aztec Yes he is here on the forum. As for the insurance as ive said its the shipper that gets the money. You would think the buyer would get the payment but thats not how they do it. I thought it was messed up as well since that gives the seller the option of keeping your money AND the insurance money.

Im not sure either.....now the dudes telling me if I refuse to return his stuff he will "find a way to deal with it".......sounds like a threat to me lol.

He is expecting me to ship everything back so he ends up with the box, 1 dead and 1 good sub AND the 200 bucks. I get my detector back and I get to eat a $75 loss PLUS shipping this **** back.....dude is being completely unreasonable.

F U C K that guy man..He sounds like he scammed you from the beginning, as he is trying to do through the filing of the claim process.Id sell the box, and the good sub, and get a decent pair of subs.Thats getting you evened out to me??That guy bis a scammer..Think about it folks?? Whoever it is needs to die, he is obv a f'n moron.. He's trying to take advantage of you. Just keep everything and tell him to go f himself. If he insists on having the subs back have him pay shipping and to refund the 75 bucks.

99.9% of internet threats are bs.. If anything happens (which it won't), his name will be the first one you give to the police.

Since he wants to be a prick I would not ship anything back till I got my $75 and he paid return shipping in full. Then if he does agree with that I would go cut the leads on the good sub or run a razor around on the spiders LOL.

Get your 75 back, blow other sub, then split shipping with the seller, seller now has 2 paper weights he can't do anything with and has nothing to gain but a box w/ 2 square holes.
