Inhaling and vomitting

F*ck it, we'll do it live
So I've been a regular pot smoker for a little over two years. I have recently (in the last 3 months) become a regular cigarette smoker. Typically, I've been able to take massive hits, no problem. However, recently I've started getting this really unpleasant gag reflex thing going. It doesnt matter what I smoke, whenever I take even a moderate inhale, I have this urge to throw up. Most of the time I can suppress it, but I'm just wondering why this is happening so I can fix it.

anybody ever experience this?

Other things that might matter: I'm sick, which might contribute to my heightened gag reflex, but that's just me guessing

just a couple ideas here..

some thing

1. you don't have to do

2. you don't need to do

3. you Shouldn't be doing anyways

4. that costs a decent amount of money to do

is making you vomit.. heres an idea.. Stop doing what makes you vomit.. or pull the **** out your throat before you hit it.. your choice

I can appreciate how you think that not abusing your body somehow brings you closer to God, but kindly, fuck off.

Bro I kno a ton a pot heads but have never heard them once with this issue
See I haven't had this issue until recently, which really makes me think it's because I'm sick and have alot of excess mucus, making my gag reflex more sensitive, for whatever reason

I'm not gonna sit here and say "HEY DONT SMOKE WEED YA AZZ HOLE!"...Everyone has thier lifestyle bro...i have met some smart people who blaze...but from being around pot, coke, crack heads a lot ive seen them about to throw up due to all the coughing....there are times when i am sick and i just cough so much and so hard that i feel like i'm going to yak.

This could be coming from the fact your sick and you're coughing a lot because of it. just me 2 cents.

one thing that may be at work is pneumonia ? my dad had it for a few months and hand no clue even with all the coughing and issues he had but its a long shot....google doesnt seem to help righ now just a bunch of people saying to quit.....

I've had bronchitis...that **** is the worst (all though im sure pneumonia is about 10x worse lol)...I could not stop coughing for the life of me...chest pains and all...and my stubborn *** still blew through a pack of smokes a day...figured if something serious were to happen and i'd pass away for WHATEVER reason. at least i would feel normal

you may have something there with pneumonia, I've been sick for ******* months now, it started out like a mild cold, turned into an ungodly chest and nasal cold, and now is just a sinus thing with lots of mucus deep in my throat

See there is a difference.. I have done my fair share.. but at some point you make the decision to grow up our to continue to be one of those people that every 6 months posts a.. HELP DRUG TEST TOMORROW HOW DO I PASS threads.. To continue to do something that makes you throw up makes me believe strongly you will be the latter of the two.. Prove me wrong..

I had the same problem for a while it was caused by excess mucus. I got bronchitis not too soon after it started up and I took a break for a little over a month and it went away. BTW even though it may **** I have gotten a serous boost in my level of highness sometimes after I have thrown up.

Why in the world would you start smoking cigarettes in the last 3 months? It's not kewl anymore and they are like 10 bux a pack right now why would you start now lol? The pot i doubt is the problem and is not bad like cigarettes are I would stop with them and see what happens.

I don't smoke weed. I am able to pull off being a "social" smoker of cigerettes. I usually go through a pack over fri and sat night at the bar or drinking with friends. Sometimes I will take a drag and it will cause me to gag. I usually refer to it as going down sideways. Maybe the new cigerette habit has changed your inhaling technique. If the base of your tongue goes too far back when taking a hard hit it can induce a gag reflex. If you have been sick for months you may want to get it checked out. A sinus infection can hang around for a long time but can be easy to beat with a little antibiotics.

Have you every heard of walking pneumonia? I know a guy that nearly died from that ****. He had it for months and never knew it. This lungs were so irriated the surface tissue was thin. He started bleeding out in his lungs once his blood was thinned during a night of heavy drinking. Lucky he choked on a morphine patch and we had to do CPR can call an ambulance. We didn't know about the bleeding till we started pumping it out of nose and mouth. That was a crazy night.

Me personally i started smoking when i was 14...i'm going on 26 next month...if i stop...i will literally kill somebody.

Probably a combination of everything you mentioned.... Since you're sick, your immune system is down. Your body is sensitive to any type of allergen, dust, etc since you're trying to fight off disease.

I have a friend with asthma that still smokes. He can go into coughing fits that can cause him to puke if he's not careful. I hope you're not developing an allergy or have some type of asthma attack induced by the smoking......

Definitely stop smoking cigarettes, if you can. I've had friends with terrible lungs who smoke cigarettes only, and friends (and myself included) that have a lot easier time breathing. It seems we have less illness and definitely less throat infections/colds than friends who smoke cigarettes.
