Hi, I'm trying to put 1 TypeX 12 (SWX-1243D) in my 2002 S-10 of a Infinity 650 watt class d or I might use a Alpine mrp-m850. I don't know what kind a box to put it in sealed or ported. I also don't have any idea on which way to face it. I'm looking for spl rather than sq. I listen to alot of rap, bass heavy music. I'm descent with building things but I am open to suggestions of manufactures who build spl boxes or just someone willing to give me enclosure recommendations. Someone please help!!!

Based on what you said, ported for sure.

Fisher Customs FTMFW, I got my 7cuft ported enclosure designed by them.

Go ported, and build the box yourself. It will sound alot better and it will be tuned in the better area than a prefab box. Which way you face the box totally depends on vehicle and preference of sound. What kind of car is this sub going in?
