not that I have personally used one, but I think the general thought is that they are a little less efficient than other big boy amps. if that is actually true and to what extent, I don't really know.

They are current hogs, if your voltage drops to low they will fry themselves, no protection circuit.

Thanks for the tip. I'm not an idiot though, I watch my voltage for quite awhile at full tilt to determine how high I can take it up. I also don't think my Nightshade will take 4kw.

I ran mine in my truck with:

220amp alternator

Optima YT under hood

3 runs of 1/0 to rear

3 Optima D31 YT's in rear

Triple Frame grounds front and rear

Holy shit dude lol. I'm not going to run the balls off it though. I think I'll be ok. I might be adding a Kinetik in the back this summer but that's it. I don't have anything else to drain my battery down. I also ran my ProMos 450 on the same battery with my Sundown.
