Eh. They're rap artists, no more no less. Someone like Sole or Aesop Rock is different to me, because they make (bad) rap without really rapping. Or Promoe is different...not many Swedish, rastafarian, vegan rappers out there. But I don't find anything about Cunninlynguists to be different, drawing such a distinction has several implications regarding the quality of their music and their fan base, none of which are true.


He makes horrible, boring, lifeless music. Another disgusting Dave Matthews derivation. Give me Elliott Smith or Nick Drake or someone of the like for singer/songwriters.

when i was referring to cunninlynguists, i was speaking moreso of the lyrics, not necessarily that they are physically different (ie a rasta, a swede, or a frenchman rapping in french that i cant understand lol). i can sit through their cd's without hearing so much bullshit like i do with some artists. i can listen to it without hearing about their asperations of being a drug kingpin. its good entertaining music to me. now on the mixtape i did notice a few BS songs, that i was like "Umm, is this still cunninlynguists?", but i let it slide for the rest of their work

This has nothing to do with physical differences....their lyrics are really not that different from a lot of good rap, both of today and the past.
