Hi,

My name is David. I want to buy a set of Audiobahn Competitions subs. The specs on them are as follows:

1000w Peak

500w RMS

60oz. Strontium Magnet

92.8 db efficiency

The question is, since I'm new to this is, what kind of amp will give me great power without blowin the subs. They run at 4 ohm impedence. Thanks for the help! Please reply if u can!!!!!

i hear there a bit overrated...so i'd figure a 800 rms amp would be plenty and leave headroom for future installs..but i'd highly suggest buying my subs//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif...they will sound much better then those bahns...there high line of car audio aint bad but you are lookin at the low line...the premiers are the high line of pioneer and will rock those...150 shipped..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

how much r u buyin the bahns for?

i'd suggest a profile amp if your runnin the bahns

are u buying them to listen to music or for spl competitions?if you're just buying them for music ---buy something else. for spl they will make some noise--lots of ppl use audiobahn for spl.

You should consider getting an adire audio sub or a ID sub in a ported box. You could get a hifonics amp for pretty cheap and they'd blow away audiobahn any day. shiva's are good and brahma's are better. If you want one sub you should get a dual 2 ohm voice coil sub and run it at 1 ohm. If you're planning on installing your sub in a car trunk I'd recommend just going with one sub. 1 sub with 1000wrms in a ported box is much louder than 2 subs sharing 1000wrms.
