I need a sub to pair to my T1000-1bd

My L7 isn't handling long intervals of hard hitting bass from this amp. I need one that can handle it. I have it wired at 2 ohm and it's clipping. I will probably rewire it to 4 ohm in the meantime.

my arsenal will do the trick for you.its a dual 4 now like your L7 but you can recone it to a dual 2 to get 1 ohm from it .it will take 1000 watts rms no problem.its an older version which is rated at 750 rms - 1500 rms

If your looking for a sub that will handle that 1500 watts your gonna spend some money. So what is your budget. Measure your trunk and figure out how much of it you are willing to give up(to determine box size). I would look into fi audio, dc audio, audique there are others that i am sure people will recommend but box size and build quality of the box is gonna determine alot of what you buy.

I'm looking at the Fi Q 12" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif. What configuration do you recommend.

Configure Speaker:

Ohm: dual 1 dual 2

Cooling: no yes +$30

P Chamfer: no yes+$10

High QTS: no yes

Spider: no yes+$5

I Heat Ring: no yes+$20

Internal Lead: no yes +$25

Not sure what some of this means...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/redface.gif.62fdbfe1a101588a808c4cff71bcb942.gif

Maybe do the minimum requirement for the box at 1.8 cuft 28hz to save some trunk space....

If you want some cheaper alternatives to DD subs, lol, You'd be wise to look into Sundown's SA series, the SKAR VVX series, or some Obsidian Audio subs. Pretty much all of those woofers can thermally handle 1000w, and at the price point you could buy two for a pretty reasonable price.

Sorta true, not entirely though. Everyone tends to hug DD around here... not sure why.
I miss the OLD DD. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Don't buy overpriced DD. Asian junk
..and this is simply not true. Their new woofers are still nice. Just not as nice as the older models. Why the hate?

I don't think I'm old enough to appreciate "old" DD

They're still good woofers, their online prices aren't even that unreasonable. The 3500 is for all intents and purposes a 2000w rms woofer, its 18" is 569 + shipping. Night Shades are similarly priced, Mayhem's are somewhat similarly priced.

sooo they're not to extreme, and when you're considering $500+ woofers, what's 50 bucks, honestly.

is your amp the constant power? if so i would run a 2 ohm load Unless you have the properelectical but this is hardly ever the case.

I don't hate dd they have good stuff they just are no better than stuff half the price. They are comparable if not worse than jl. At least jl puts out cutting edge technology in their overpriced equipment. Dd uses the same Asian build house as everybody else and charges twice as much. I actually work for a shop that sells dd and massive audio. Dd is most definitely overpriced and overrated people literally think dd has some magical dust they sprinkle on their **** and it some how makes their coils and cones etc.. better than everybody else when in reality you can buy a lot of subs that will handle more power sound better and get louder for much less
