I need a Ported box, what do i do now?

I think you've made WAY too many threads for just one sub. That you bought used off of someone else.

Option-

Buy a dual 12 inch sealed pre fab enclosure for your car, mount a baffle over the second hole to seal it off, just take a round peice of MDF big enough to cover the hole, line the outside edge with silicone and mount the baffle. Spray paint the baffle a color of your choice.

If the box has seperate chambers internally, take a drill with a hole saw attachment and turn the internal divder into swiss cheese so the box is one big chamber.

you now have a large enclosure ready to be ported

For port sizes just ask one of the guys what the width and length the PVC tube needs to be based on the size of the box which will be around 2cft.

Also my last help with this box. If you find a guy named josh99ta, he has done lots of work with ***** Am's he maybe able to help you. He may or may not its worth a shot though. The guys knows ***** am's like you wouldnt believe.

Do you guys think by chance there is anything wrong with the sub I was sold? Id really like to believe it was brand new as told, but i can't rule out the possibility that the problem is the sub itself.

how do i tell if there is a problem with the sub itself? It is measuring like 1.3-1.5 ohms when we tested it, but the guy told me the multi-meter we used is usually off a little bit.

Do you have a home audio reciever you could hook it up too?

Wire it in series so you get a 4ohm load and let it rip on the home stereo.

It would probably be running at like 200 watts or so if i hooked it up to a reciever. I need to find someone with a 1000 watt amp so i can compare it with mine.

It will insure that your sub is working properly and that it is somehting else in the system causing the problem.
