I Need A Killer Spl Setup!!!!!!!

I need to create a killer spl setup in a 1998 jeep grand cherokee. I have a budget of about $2000 and already have 2 punch p1 12s and a mtx 801d mono amp. I just need to setup something that hits harder than 150 dbl. Any ideas would be great.

i dont think they make an 18 foot xxx. but as far as the topic at hand...2000 wont be enough to hit 150 b/c youll probbaly need to upgrade your electrical system which isnt cheap.

Get a class D rather than the 2000X, it will hog current like there's no tomorrow, the 2000X wouldn't be enough power anyways...

I don't know.....like they say, it's all about the install. People have been known to break 150db off of only 1kw (well, before the new TL's came out //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif ).

But yes, expect to put atleast $500-$750 into the electrical system.

18" MT in a wall, 2 bx1500d's, then upgraded electrical.

MT=~$520 including shipping

2 bx1500d's=~600 off ebay

150 is possible with that. Delvryboy is doing 148+ with a 18" SX and ALOT less power.

With that much money, I would go with two 15'' SX's with 1500w going to each - The hifonics seems to do the trick. Two 15'' SX's should get louder than a single MT, but then again, I haven't heard an MT yet, but anyways.

hey, i think 2000 is enough to get 150. If you can find the first generation ORION HCCA. I think u can get them like 200 a piece and u can hit 145 with one of those. Add another one, port them, double the power and i sure u can hit 150 decibals.

bah, talk to spkrman. he hits low 50's with two stroker 15's and 2 dx700's and all he has done was add a stinger 1700 battery.
