ok... so i told re audio i wanted a 2.5cuft ported box for my 12 se. they gave me 2.5 cuft but it was internal as i was thinking i wanted 2.5 externally. so i said screw it and built it anyhow. the bia is freaking huge. i put it all together and screwed it together but i had to unscrew the lid to fit it in my trunk. then i threw the lid back on and screwed it back on...no problem right? wrong----i could only screw in the screws towards the front of the box and not the 3 or 4 in the rear. now i got a box that flaps open every time the bass hits. its too tight of a fit to screw the screws in since ur hand cant fit all the way back. i plan to build a much smaller box since after all its only 1 12" and i have a small trunk. plus i think it will hit better i assume cus i have an audiobahn amp and when ran in parallel at 2 ohms it pushes 800rms. either i wired somethin wrong or at 800rms its weaker then my friends 2 12s pushin 600rms and most other systems out there. i bet i wired in series or some shit..lol. but anyone got any ideas of how to get the back lid of the box to stay down?

make sure you put down gobs of WOODGLUE and wait a full 24hours before turning the sub on.

no i actually i didnt glue the box yet. the problem is that if i need my spare tire out i gotta take my box apart to do it. im in the process of building a smaller box and i fully intend to glue that *****.
